Beat – Focusing on the steady pulse in music e.g. rolling a ball, clapping to the sound, tapping sticks

• Rhythm – Focusing on the duration of sound e.g. Singing nursery rhymes, finger plays, Painting to the sound of music, clap to the tune of the song

• Tempo – Focusing on the speed of the music, fast and slow e.g. listening to different types of music (classical, opera, rock and roll and Aboriginal traditional music), move to the sound (speed) of music, play an instrument.
